Wantage Scout Group

We are a thriving group based in the centre of Wantage. We are the amalgamation of two groups, 1st and 4th King Alfred with the addition of the Challow sections, and we are looking to meet the growing needs of Scouting in Wantage.

Our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are very active in the outdoors, and frequently enjoy hikes, camps and bike rides in the surrounding countryside.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
