1st Stanford in the Vale

We operate across Stanford and Uffington area providing Scouting adventures to over 115 young people from the surrounding areas.

We have Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in both Stanford (Cobras) and Uffington (Dragons) plus an Explorer Unit in Stanford. Being a rural community; our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are very active outdoors, and frequently enjoy navigating around the surrounding countryside.

Beaver Scouts – Age 6 to 8

  • Cobras – Thursday 17:45 – 19:00, Village hall, Stanford in the Vale
  • Dragons – Tuesday 18:00 – 19:30, Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall, Uffington

Cub Scouts – Age 8 to 10.5

  • Cobras – Thursday 18:00 – 19:15, The Filling Station, Stanford in the Vale
  • Dragons – Thursday 18:30 – 20:00, Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall, Uffington

Scouts – Age 10.5 to 14

  • Cobras – Thursday 19:15 – 21:15, Village hall, Stanford in the Vale
  • Dragons – Thursday 19:00 – 20:45, Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall, Uffington
  • Thursday – Village Hall, Stanford in the Vale

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
