County Awards Day

Beaver, Cubs and Scouts from all over Oxfordshire attended the County Awards Day at Youlbury last weekend.

Congratulations to all those that have had their achievements recognised.

King Alfred District was well represented, with 70 young people getting their awards, across all the Groups.

Amongst the adult volunteers; Chris Harrison and David Walsh gained Awards of Merit, and  Janet Green was presented with her Silver Wolf.

After the presentations, the youngsters were freed to go out and try out all of the activities across the Youlbury site. See all the pictures here.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
