Scout Post – Scouts Delivering Christmas cards

Scouts from Wantage and Grove work together every year to deliver Christmas cards to households in Wantage and Grove.
Representatives from each group meet and organise putting out the post boxes sited throughout Wantage and Grove, and arrange the collection, sorting and delivery of the cards.
Parents, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and other helpers get involved with sorting the cards 3 times in December at DHQ, Springfield Road, Wantage and delivering the cards by Christmas Eve.
In 2019 we delivered around 9,360 cards and raised an excellent total of £3100 which is split between the groups involved.
Organisers were: Tracy Thomas (Grove), Bev Ayling (Grove), Kay Williams (Wantage ) and Julie Brown (Wantage).
